IIaix Moriba will likely be leaving Barcelona after refusing to extend his contract with the club. The 18-year-old wants a better wage and if Barcelona can’t afford it, he will leave.
Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman isn’t happy with the player’s demand and feels he should be thinking less about money and more about playing games which he will develop his talents.
But, football is no longer played for the love of it the game but for how much is earned from doing it.
Moriba’s representatives feels he should be earning as high as $40,000-a-week and not the $18,000-a-week Barcelona is currently offering him.
The dispute in contract means Moriba will be walking away from Barcelona before the transfer window closes. His next destination will be Liverpool who are willing to sign him and provide him the perfect platform to develop his talent while earning good money.
