Mission Impossible: Barcelona gives Ronald Koeman a task he can’t achieve

Barcleona president Joan Laporta has reportedly given Ronald Koeman an ultimatum to remain at the club’s manager beyond this season.

El Presidente is confident Barcelona’s current team is strong enough to win at least a trophy as well as finish in the top 4.

So if Koeman wants to extend his contract for a year, two or even three years, he has to win the La Liga, Copa Del Rey or the Champions League.

How he achieves such a fate with Martin Braithwaite, Luuk de Jong, Philippe Coutinho, Miralem Pjanic or Samuel Umtiti will be left for you to wonder.

Koeman understands Barcelona’s current financial challenges thus their inability to sign world class players but, expecting him to turn a very average Barcelona team into a title winning team will be asking too much of him.

Yes! he is a world class manager but even the best managers need a good squad to make their work easy. Barcelona at the moment is a team full of rejects.
