Chelsea are reportedly open to signing Napoli captain Kalidou Koulibaly after missing out signing Sevilla’s highly rated defender Jules Kounde.
Thomas Tuchel was optimistic of working with the defender and made space for him by sanctioning the sale of Kurt Zouma to West Ham. Unfortunately for him the deal collapsed after Sevilla demand for $80m for Koude.
That failed transactions means Chelsea will have stick with Antoine Rodiger, Andreas Christensen and Thiago SIlva till January. But if there’s a need to sign defender, Chelsea could go for Kalidou Koulibaly who will be available for just $30m.
