Barcelona to trigger Roberto Martinez release clause as they prepare to SACK Ronald Keoman

Barcelona is reportedly in the forefront of hiring Belgium international manager Roberto Martinez as Ronald Koeman’s replacement.

The Beleaguered manager might have the support of the president at the moment but if results don’t improve especially against Cadiz, Levante and then Benfica, Laporta will be forced to let the axe fall.

According to Sport, Barcelona would have to pay €1.8 million (£1.5m/$2.1m) to release Roberto Martinez from his contract with the Belgium national team.

The club will also pay €14m to Ronald Koeman as compensation package which is clearly stated in his contract.
