Barcelona are reportedly searching for a new manager to replace Ronald Koeman after the club suffered series of defeats in the Champions League.
The club president Joan Laporta is not happy with the club’s current position and feels a change in the dugout might just do the trick in getting the player’s fired up. Sacking Koeman might look easy but they’re some many things Barcelona will miss from getting rid of him.
A new manager will demand Barcelona spend millions on top players- No world class manager will accept to manage a team consisting of Philippe Coutinho, Gerard Pique, Javi Garcia or Memphis Depay in their starting line up.
They will demand for instant improvement in the current squad and if Barcelona can’t afford it they will work.
Koeman is realistic, he knows what is going on at Barcelona- Koeman was perfectly right when he said Barcelona of today is not the one we knew 8 years ago. Today’s Barcelona is undergoing transition and people have to be patient.
Xavi or Johan Cruffy will struggle with the current team- Xavi Hernandez and Johan Crufyy both have the potential of becoming great managers but they need a stable club to reach the top. Joining Barcelona now will be bad for their managerial career cause the expectations will certainly overwhelm them.
