Messi understands: 3 reasons why Barcelona must give Ronald Koeman more time

Ronald Koeman has done a fantastic job since taking over the reign at Barcelona. He has won the Copa Del Rey, changed the dynamics of the team and even introduce youngsters into the first team.

Barcelona might be struggling at the moment to exact control on games and win it with ease but, everyone knows why the current team is so bad.

Poor recruitment over the years– You must have read it somewhere how Barcelona did bad business in buying shit players who earn crazy wages but contribute nothing to the team. The likes of Philippe Coutinho, Ousame Dembele, Luuk De Jong, Antoine Griezmann, Miralem Pjanic and others should never have been bought by Barcelona.

Signing those players really weakened the fabric of the team and made them completely reliant on the departed Lionel Messi.

Lionel Messi- How do Barcelona replace a player like Lionel Messi? The answer is simple, Barcelona have to spend over $180m in signing superstars like Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah, Kevin de Bruyne, Harry Kane or even Lautaro Martinez.

Or, they have to offer over $600,000-a-week in wages to attract Kylian Mbappe next season.

Keoman needs superstars to win games and trophies. Not bunch of average players who make him look ordinary after mathces.

Transition takes time, Koeman needs time– Transition are never easy cause it takes time and patience. Club’s who don’t have patience keep spending and spending crazy money to return to their glory days and yet, end up playing second, third or fourth fiddle to everyone else. Clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal have fallen into this trap.

While others who have accept their fate and rebuild the squad with patience have ended up fighting for titles with the richest club’s in Europe and won it. Clubs like Liverpool, Inter Milan and Sevilla are typical examples.

Barcelona will need time and patience to get back to the top but if want instant glory by sacking Ronald Koeman due to bad results then they should be ready to spend big for the next manager.
